ABOUT US

REGE Disabled Children’s Project, India, was established in 1999 by a small team of volunteers, each with a background in social welfare and united in the aim of giving disabled children in this deprived area of Utaranchal, India the same access to education as their able bodied peers, giving them the best opportunity to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Funds are raised through a small band of regular donors in the UK.

REGE’s Disabled Children’s Project works with the Ryder Cheshire International Centre in India to recruit and train local staff to deliver the service.

The organisation  was named after Colonel S. Rege, a man who has given much hope and inspiration to young people interested in the field of disability.
